Description

Join our all-inclusive guided tour of Bergamo, an hour drive from Milan - small groups only! The pick up is in Milan, and once in Bergamo a licensed tour guide will walk you through the history and art of the Upper Town - Città Alta. Don’t worry, Bergamo is smaller than Milan and places are closer one to the other! We will get the chance to explore inside and out some of the hidden gems here, like the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Cathedral, the Colleoni Chapel, the Bell Tower, the Old Square, the Corsarola street…you name it! After having lunch together in a place usually packed with locals getting their lunch break on typical food, we will explore a little more of the town. Before your journey back to Milan, you will get some leisure time (roughly 1,5 hours) for personal shopping or individual visit. Our driver will then meet you and drive you back to Milan in the late afternoon.

Important Information

We will go to a couple of panoramic points from where we will get views from the top. It is a walking tour, and we will walk in a historical city that is medieval: that means stone pavement. There is a little up and down to walk (not excessive, but roads here are not as plain as Milan is). Bergamo has lots of fountains with drinking water, available to everyone. We will have lunch in a traditional restaurant with a set menu: vegan options are available, but not many. And food preparation is not assured to be non-contaminated by other food in the kitchen, should you have any allergies.
